Make your blocks clear.

Why is an app blocked?

Open GetBored → Blocks → Why is this app blocked? to see active sessions, schedules, reached allowances and overlapping rules. The day timeline shows planned hours; daily allowances are conditional on usage.

Enable or recover blocking

Choose Enable Screen Time and approve Apple’s prompt, then select apps using Apple’s picker. If a rule reports a monitoring issue, open that rule and use its recovery action. Check that Screen Time access remains enabled. Apple controls monitoring and shields; permission changes, system limits or monitoring failures can interrupt blocking.

Need to stop a block?

Open the active session to end it. A deliberate-pause setting adds a brief wait before ending early. Optional stronger commitment in version 1.0.1 disables normal early ending until the session ends; emergency recovery stays available. Settings → Emergency pause all blocks releases shielding and pauses rules. Other overlapping rules can otherwise continue blocking an app.

Your daily goal

Version 1.0.1 can apply your goal as one shared daily usage allowance for the apps you select after connecting Screen Time. It is not a whole-device limit. The allowance resets at midnight; Apple’s callbacks can be delayed. On iOS 17.4 or later, prior selected-app use today is included. Onboarding time comparisons are conditional estimates from your own answers, not measured time saved or guaranteed results.

A save failed

Free space in Settings → General → iPhone Storage (or iPad Storage), return to GetBored and use the save-error retry action. Avoid deleting the app if you want to retain local records. If the issue continues, preview a report in Settings → Support diagnostics and choose whether to share it with us.

Restore or cancel Plus

Restore purchases using the Apple Account that purchased Plus. Cancel in GetBored’s Manage or cancel subscription screen, or Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Access continues until the paid period ends. Core blocking and milestones remain free. Apple’s cancellation instructions and Apple’s refund support provide further help.
