What stays free
In version 1.0.1, Free includes unlimited timed sessions, 2 schedules, 1 daily allowance, 3 presets, 6 scenes, essential-app exceptions, all 48 milestones and the optional four-week practice program. Existing saved rules and presets remain usable. Emergency recovery stays available for everyone.
What Plus adds
Version 1.0.1 adds reusable Work, Study, Evening and Driving profiles; different weekend hours and date exceptions; preplanned work/break sessions; expiring app exceptions; optional commitment until the session ends; private shield reminders; favorite-scene rotation and matching widget colors; 24 extra scenes and 20 alternate icons; private weekly comparisons, seven-day planned schedule coverage and session CSV exports. Plus supports up to 8 rules and 8 presets. Place, Focus, NFC and driving triggers require setup through Apple Shortcuts personal automations; availability depends on iOS and the device. GetBored does not request location. Plus does not promise a specific improvement in wellbeing or phone use.
Prices and renewal
The planned U.S. launch prices are $7.99 per month or $29.99 per year. The yearly plan charges the full annual amount upfront. Apple’s purchase confirmation shows the actual localized price, taxes and billing period for your region before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel through your Apple Account’s subscription settings.
Graduation and cancellation
Completing the program, deleting local data or deleting GetBored does not automatically cancel billing. Cancel through Apple if you no longer need Plus. Access lasts until the paid period ends. Your selected scene, earned milestones and free tools stay; new Plus-only setup and customization, comparisons and CSV exports require active access. Existing saved rules, presets and focus profiles remain usable. Previously verified legacy one-time purchases remain honored, though no new one-time purchase is offered.
Restore and refunds
Use Restore purchases with the original Apple Account. Apple handles payments and refund requests. Refunded or revoked purchases no longer grant access. Cancellation instructions · Request a refund from Apple.
